Sunny day for flowers and birds in St. James's Park, London - 13th April 2024

It was a hot summer day on 13th April, and also my birthday, so I treated myself to a walk in St James’s Park, where I saw lots of colourful flowers and some interesting wildlife.

The flowerbeds were full of very colourful Tulips and other flowers.

Lovely Orange Blossom in another flowerbed

The daffodils were putting on a good display

The Mallard family had a lot of little babies to look after

A pair of Hooded Mergansers - part of the park's wildfowl collection
The male Merganser put on a bit of a display

Hawaiin goose/Nene having a rest

Pair of Mute Swans nesting at the end of the lake

Another Mute Swan in an aggressive mood

The Black Swan was following the angry Mute Swan

Some of the Pelicans were hiding on the island at the Buckingham Palace end of the park
They were resting right next to a nesting female Mute Swan

Two-headed Bar-headed goose!

Simply stunning dark pink Azalea bush in full flower
Azalia and Arum lilies

Area covered by Queen Anne's Lace

Plenty of daffodils growing in the grass at the side of the park

It was a very sunny day, but there weren't that many visitors!!!!!!!!!

Barnacle goose - another member of the wildfowl collection

It was good to see a group of lovely Cowslips
