I had booked a birding boat trip round Poole Harbour on one morning during my visit to Poole. It was definitely worth it! Below is some of the wildlife that I saw during that journey.
Cormorant fly-past and White-tailed Eagle sitting on spit of land in the Wareham Channel
Rear view of the White-tailed Eagle
Chinese Water deer in the reeds at the edge of the Wareham Channel
Sandwich Tern perching on a post in the Wareham Channel
Wareham church in the distance
Kingfisher perching on top of a post in the river near Wareham
Osprey with a large flat fish flew above the boat
Unbelievably, two Paddleboarders paddled very close to a pair of White-tailed Eagles!
Looking over the wall into Brownsea lagoon - Oystercatchers and Spoonbills near the wall
The wall round the edge of the lagoon on Brownsea Island
