Stonechat, Puffins, Gannets, Wall butterfly and lighthouses seen during walk from North Landing to Flamborough Head on 7th May 2025

I was staying in Thornwick Bay, East Yorkshire, for a week in early May.  After a day at Bempton Cliffs, I decided to walk along the cliffs to Flamborough Head on the next day.

A male Stone Chat was singing while perching on a twig at the beginning of my walk

I took note of the serious warning when I set out to walk along the cliff path

Puffins perching on the rocky cliff face

Further along the cliffs I briefly saw a Puffin standing on grass at the edge of the cliff before it flew away

I also managed to get a close view of a Puffin that was resting just below the edge of the cliff
